South Africa

Pop-up roof 4×4, with a maximum of 4 people per vehicle!

Cape Town (1 day)

Our adventure starts in Cape Town, the most scenic city in the world. The Monkeys will pick you up at the airport unless you are already staying at the Monkey Mansion. We’ll get to know each other during an epic kickoff braai before we rest for our first night!

Cederberg (1 day)

Leaving the city, we drive through striking landscapes into the rugged mountains of the Western Cape crossing Piketberg Pass. Arriving in the Cederberg Mountains we set out to climb up to a hidden waterfall for a dip in a pool. We camp in Gecko Creek underneath the stars.

Namaqualand (1 day)

We continue travelling north into the North Western Cape, entering the Namaqualand area. We camp along the Gariep River, in a secluded natural spot. We visit the Augrabies falls

Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (3 days)

Here is our first chance to see plenty of wild lafe. This park is llocated and ont the border between Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. We will camp for 3 nights at different camps. We will go on morning and evening safaris when the animals are most active. We will travel here for 3-4 days in the green season. This means a lot less tourist, more animals and lush green landscapes.

Maun (2 days)

We exit the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in Botswana at Gate Kaa and travel on to Maun, on the outskirts of the world-famous Okavango Delta. We stay at a lodge in Maun for a couple of days to relax and swim in the Okavango (be careful for the hippos). From here we will embark on a boat safari and we’ll get ready for a wet adventure in the Okavango Delta.

Moremi (2 days)

In Moremi we will camp at Khwai community campsite. There are no fences so get ready for the wildest life of Africa. We will have the most exciting and wet 4×4 drives you will ever experience. Some of the animals will be mating so be sure to bring earbuds. Their passionate noises will keep you awake at night.

Chobe (2 days)

After the wet and wild delta we travel on to Chobe National Park. This scenic game park with gentle hills, open savannahs, as well as riverine forests, providing habitats for a range of species. We fall asleep in the African wilderness where wildlife roams freely, listening to the sounds of the bush. We’ll stay at Savuti. We exit Chobe traveling on to Kasane. Where we will stay at the fantastic Senyati Lodge where elephants, buffalo’s and lions come to drink at our camp.

Kasane and Victoria Falls (2 days)

From Kasane we visit the natural wonder of Victoria Falls in Zambia to see the largest sheet of falling water on earth. Standing up close to the ‘smoke that thunders’ is an unforgettable experience!

Some passengers wrap-up their travels in Kasane, while new clients will join us here for the trip to Namibia and back to Cape Town.

Kgalagadi is especially renowned for predator watching and for large herbivores such as blue wildebeest, springbok, eland and red hartebeest. Ground Squirrel and Suricate (Meerkat) are two more of the park’s more prominent species.

Both these ground dwelling species can easily be seen throughout the park. Honey Badger (Ratel), Pangolin (Scaly Anteater) and Bat-eared Fox are some of the park specials to search for. But it is the predators that are the park’s biggest attraction. Excellent chance to seeing cheetah, leopard, brown and spotted hyena and the black-maned lion.

We will see buffalos, lions, elephants, crocodiles, hippos, baboons, an array of antelopes (including impala, roan, kudu and sable), and many more

Please Note

We highly recommend you arrive at least 1 or 2 days in advance to make sure you are on time and well rested. We also recommend you leave a couple of days later if you need to catch a flight. Botswana is beautiful but wild and primitive. We will encounter difficulties that are part of the adventure and perhaps some delays. We can’t be held accountable if you miss your flight.

We are more than happy to recommend and help you book accommodation if you wish in Kasane. you are  of Cape Town!
